WWE Draft 2016: Triple H is the Logical Choice for Raw GM
By Carl Gac
Looking at why Stephanie McMahon should pick Triple H as the new GM of Raw in the WWE Draft.
The 2016 WWE Draft is almost upon us. On Tuesday, we’ll know exactly who will be featuring exclusively on both Raw and SmackDown, but before then we need to know who both Shane and Stephanie McMahon will choose to be their General Managers.
During the main event segment of last week’s Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon told his children that they would both be in charge of one brand each. With Stephanie the head honcho on Raw and Shane the top guy on SmackDown, they were both told they need to pick a GM to take care of the day to day running of the shows. They need to make those decisions on this weeks Raw.

Hints were dropped during that segment, with it looking like Shane may end up with Daniel Bryan as his GM, and Stephanie talking about their being only one “Game” in WWE, it looks like her husband Triple H could become her GM. And that could well be the move that is “Best for Business”.

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H have spent the majority of the last few years as The Authority, basically the heel faction running things in WWE. Triple H is also the beloved man who runs the juggernaut that is NXT, with fans lauding him as the saviour of the future of WWE, and who can argue with that?
Since losing the WWE Championship to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania, he’s been off main roster TV. Prior to that Triple H had been a presence on every show that WWE presented. Now, we’re heading for the WWE Draft of 2016. I’d expect him to be all over Raw yet again.

The team of Stephanie and Triple H can be the polar opposite to Shane and whoever (Daniel Bryan?) is his GM. Shane is seen as something of a hero by the WWE fans, he’s promised to make SmackDown the most exciting brand and we have no reason to think that won’t be the case. Over on Raw, The Authority can be the guys who hold up the traditional WWE style, keeping the show pretty similar to what it is now.
Despite the fact that he’s made so much progress with NXT, to the fans of there main roster Triple H will struggle to be anything more than a heel authority guy and right now that’s exactly what WWE needs him to be. He can be the enforcer for the decisions that Stephanie makes, a man that the roster knows is in charge and if they don’t like the choices made he can kick their ass in the ring.
The main thing we need from the WWE Draft is to end up with two shows that feel entirely different from each other. Stephanie and Triple H can rule Raw with an iron fist, keeping roster members in check with their own brand of discipline, whilst having some of the more heavyweight style guys wreaking havoc.
