Enzo Amore Can Be WWE’s Next Breakout Star
By Carl Gac
We saw Enzo Amore make a step out on his own on Raw, so can he be a big singles star in WWE?
Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy are one of the best tag teams that WWE currently has. During their run in NXT, whilst they didn’t get their hands on the NXT Tag Team Titles, they were one of the most over and most exciting teams to watch every week. Then they were called up to the main roster and took their unique brand of professional wrestling to Raw and SmackDown.
Back in early May, at WWE Payback, it looked like Enzo and Big Cass were set to become the number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships. Then Enzo got injured during the match with The Vaudevillians, and it looked like we may not see him in the ring for a while.

During Enzo’s absence, it looked like Big Cass would get the chance to go at it in singles competition, which he did, with many predicting a big future for Cass if he were to go it alone. When you look at the stature of Cass, his in ring talents and charisma, it’s not hard to imagine Vince McMahon seeing him as a future WWE Champion down the line.

But while many thought Cass would be the big star of his tag team, I’m here to tell you that it will be Enzo Amore who will have the better of any future split.
Enzo is a unique prospect, partly due to the fact he has spent the past few years, mostly in NXT, building up his character and making himself one of the most loved wrestlers in the entire company. Right from the first strains of their ring music, through the pre-ring schtick, to the put downs and great one-liners, and the in ring ability, Enzo is one of the best all-round talents that WWE currently has.

In the ring Enzo plays the perfect sympathetic baby face, allowing whoever his opponent is to beat him down, before making a big comeback. His charisma and mic skills stand him head and shoulders above the majority of his peers, whisper it quietly, but Enzo Amore could be on a par with the legend that is The Rock with the microphone in his hand.
This week on Raw, we saw Enzo come to the aid of WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, before joining her to take on Charlotte and Chris Jericho, albeit in a losing effort. During that match, we saw Kevin Owens join the commentary team, and he seems to have an issue with Enzo due to an incident that happened during the WWE Draft. Owens seems far from happy with Enzo and we may very well see the two of them feuding in the near future. It appears that we may be headed towards an Enzo and Cass vs Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens feud, I for one would be more than happy to see that play out.

Enzo Amore is someone who can go against almost anyone on the WWE roster. He has the potential to be the breakout star of the second half of 2016 for WWE. Enzo may never hold the WWE Heavyweight, or Universal, Championship but he can be one of the guys that entertains the crowd every single time he walks out through that curtain.
