WWE’s List of the ’10 Hottest Free Agents’ Has Surprising Names
WWE has compiled a list of who they see as the hottest free agent signings that could come to Raw or Smackdown.
With the WWE Draft well in the rear-view now we’ve heard of a number of free agents who could be signed to bolster the Raw and Smackdown rosters. And while every fan out there has an opinion on who should be signed, the WWE has a list of their own posted on WWE.com, of the 10 hottest free agents on their radar right now.
What’s interesting about this list are the names already on the roster, suggesting that WWE hasn’t made a decision about where they are going to end up. Those names include The Rock, the Undertaker, Nikki Bella, and NXT’s Bayley.

The other names are all superstars who have been on the roster before with varying degrees of success. Those superstars include Cryme Tyme, Tajiri, THE Brian Kendrick, Mickie James, Carlito, and The Great Khali.

It’s nice of WWE to include the Rock in their “Want List” but…no, that’s obviously not happening no matter how electrifying he may be. Sorry, but there’s always another ‘Fast & Furious’ on the way, no time for getting gored by Rhyno on Smackdown. Undertaker only wrestles maybe one or two matches a year, but when he does they are main event calibre. However he seems to have hung up the black boots for good, so we’ll just have to see. Nikki Bella is making her way back from a serious neck injury and is nearing a return. The most recent reports (via Wrestling Observer) have her as a part-time wrestler on Smackdown when she comes back, and that sounds about right given her outside commitments. She’s got ‘Total Bellas’ to promote, people! Bayley received a wildly enthusiastic response to her “surprise” match at WWE Battleground and fans can’t wait for the Huggable One to show up permanently. Where she ends up is the question, however.

Does anybody want to see Cryme Tyme or, heaven help us, The Great Khali back on the main roster? While the tag team ranks surely need an overhaul if there are going to be two sets of champions, but there have to be better options than bringing JTG and Shad back into the fold. Smackdown’s only a 2-hour show so there’s no time for Khali’s 20-minute lumber down to the ring. Tajiri and Kendrick are currently in the Cruiserweight Classic and seem good possibilities to be part of Raw’s new Cruiserweight division. Carlito has been on WWE’s radar for months, but the added “apple expense” could be a detriment. Mickie James is interesting, though. The WWE legend was most recently in TNA alongside her husband, Magnus, but she seemed out of the game for good. Bringing her back would bring a nice veteran presence, and hopefully she’ll leave that awful country music gimmick she had in TNA out to pasture where it belongs.
