SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Naomi

Result: Naomi defeats Alexa Bliss via pinfall to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Rating: 2.75 out of 5 stars

No video package would be shown for this match, which didn’t help its cause after the entertaining Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper bout. Something could have been used, but maybe, there wasn’t enough verbal between Bliss and Naomi over the past three weeks.

Well, that didn’t stop this from featuring a title change. After plenty of near-falls between the two, Naomi hit the springboard moonsault to get the pinfall win and her first-ever championship in WWE.

The victory for Naomi comes after dealing with years of being given an opportunity, only to lose it at the last second. This constantly came in title matches from 2014 to 2015, only to come up short. Then injuries took away part of her 2016 year, leading to 2017 potentially being a make-or-break year for the former Funkadactyl. With the win, she has already made this year a positive one and will carry plenty of momentum heading into WrestleMania.
