Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Baron Corbin vs. The Miz vs. AJ Styles vs. Bray Wyatt

Result: Bray Wyatt last pins AJ Styles to win the WWE Championship.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5 stars

Wow. Where do you start with this match?

From the time John Cena entered as one of the first two participants, it seemed that his night would end early. This turned out to be the case when it would just be Bray Wyatt and AJ Styles left.

Before jumping too far ahead, however, there’s everything else that happened in this match.

Dean Ambrose put on an excellent performance in his first-ever Elimination Chamber match. His Lunatic Fringe personality played into this greatly with the wild spots from the top of the pod, all of which turned out to be successful and effective. He then got taken out by Baron Corbin, which makes it seem like these two are headed into a feud for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 33.

Styles became the workhorse of this match. He wrestled from the beginning until the very end, taking some BRUTAL bumps along the way. There seemed to be an opportunity for him to win the WWE Championship, but he came up short to the star of the night: Bray Wyatt.

Elimination Chamber became Wyatt’s night. He looked like a star out there from the moment he entered the match, to the second he held that WWE Championship as the show closed. It locked up his spot at WrestleMania 33, which should be in a match with Randy Orton. These two had a mini-staredown to close the show, potentially signaling what’s to come.

That will do it for the 2017 Elimination Chamber. What did you think of the show?
