WWE: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Congratulates Bray Wyatt on Win
What did the Rock have to say about Bray Wyatt’s WWE Championship win?
On Sunday night, Bray Wyatt would win the WWE Championship in the Elimination Chamber match. He last pinned AJ Styles to pull this off, winning his first-ever World title in WWE.
The victory for Wyatt potentially sets him up to face Randy Orton, the 2017 Royal Rumble winner, at WrestleMania 33 for the title. It would mark a matchup between the two remaining Wyatt Family members in one of the top bouts at the show.
Afterward, the praise would pour in for the Eater of Worlds. Perhaps, most notably, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson congratulated Wyatt on his WWE Championship win. He said:
"Hell yes. Big fan of his talent and couldn’t happen to a better dude. Welcome to the club, enjoy the ride and have fun! Congrats brother."
A fan on Twitter also asked why the Rock would congratulate Wyatt after his WrestleMania 32 promo last year. This saw the People’s Champ call him the “Eater of Hot Pockets”. Apparently, Wyatt “loved it”.
It’s amazing how we went from Johnson obliterating the Wyatt Family in a promo segment at WrestleMania 32, to Wyatt getting a WWE Championship match at the following Show of Shows less than one year later. How times (and Vince McMahon’s mindset) has changed.
