Report: Brock Lesnar Informs UFC of MMA Retirement
According to Marc Raimondi of mmafighting.com, Brock Lesnar has informed both the UFC and USADA of his retirement from MMA.
Earlier Tuesday, mmafighting.com released an article on Brock Lesnar’s retirement from MMA. Lesnar informed the UFC of his plans to retire from the sport of MMA. Being that Lesnar is no longer in the UFC he has also been removed from the USADA testing pool. As most people may recall, the former WWE and UFC Heavyweight Champion was popped by USADA shortly after his fight at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt.
Last month, Lesnar was suspended by USADA for 1 year retroactive to his failed out of competition test in July. Lesnar has served just about 7 months of this suspension. The article also notes that should Lesnar decide to come out of retirement, he would not be allowed to compete until he has served the last 5 months of this suspension.

Obviously, Lesnar is still employed by WWE but it’ll be interesting to see if this news affects him in any way. Lesnar has been feuding with Goldberg since the Survivor Series pay-per-view where he was pinned in less than 2 minutes. The two are scheduled to have a rematch at WrestleMania this April. Whether or not that match is for the WWE Universal Championship or not will be determined when Goldberg faces Kevin Owens at FastLane. Could the rumors of Goldberg winning the Universal Title only to drop it to Lesnar at WrestleMania have played a part in his decision to retire from MMA?
