Lashley Gets an Unexpected Visitor
Lashley comes out to gloat about still being World Champion and tell the fans that there is no one that can stop Lashley, He is interrupted by for UFC Heavyweight Champion, Josh Barnett. Barnett shows his disappointment in Lashley’s title reign. He wants to elevate Lashley but the World Champion isn’t backing now. Josh Barnett tries to lock him into an armbar but that frustrates Lashley. He’ll only accept the challenge to fight if it’s for the World Championship and once again Lashley is ready for the fight.
Two mixed martial artists could make for an interesting match. Lashley has been at his absolute best as World Champion and having Barnett as an unconventional opponent could be exactly what he needs. If the plan is to continue to legitimize Lashley as the baddest wrestler on the planet, TNA is doing an amazing job but in a different way.
Eddie Edwards vs Davey Richards
Result: No contest
This match was made a Street Fight because nothing can contain the hatred between the two men. Richards attacks Edwards from behind after being summoned by Angelina Love as Edwards’ death wish. Davey Richards is in control in the early going after the initial attack. Even in his street clothes, Edwards manages to hit a suicide dive but is taken out by a chair shot to the face. As it looks like Richards is in firm control, Alicia comes out to help her husband. The aid of Eddie’s wife didn’t help as he was handcuffed to the corner. Edwards covers his way and takes the chair shots for her and Richards makes sure that Edwards may not move again. Richards ends the match with an inverted conchairto and a low blow to the referee as Alicia looks on.

An interesting way to start this feud that started from a hot point in the beginning. This was only the first match in the series and already a street fight. The fact that the match technically ended in a no contest continues the rivalry with Richards having a psychological advantage. Richards as a heel is gold and will only get better and makes fans want to see him get his just due.
