8. Mick Foley Resigns as WWE Raw General Manager

All WWE authority figure roles come to an end (unless it’s the Authority). Some have lasted for years, while others only survived for a few months. At WrestleMania 33, Mick Foley’s time as Raw General Manager may come to an end.

Foley made it public knowledge that he needs hip surgery, so at some point, he’s going to step away from his role to recover. That will leave the general manager position open. If this is going to happen soon, then the timetable could be to make the change at WrestleMania 33.

The real idea of this could see Foley play his hip surgery into resigning from his spot. However, he may also become too aggravated working under Stephanie McMahon, quitting to avoid the stress of having to be with someone that’s hurting Raw.

Not firing Foley seems like something WWE would do out of respect for the work he’s done over his career and coming back to be the general manager. It then sends him on his way, allowing him to return in one-off appearances in the future.
