Part One

  • Heidi Lovelace defeated Kimber Lee to open the show. This may have been a dark match. Lovelace is now known as Ruby Riot.
  • Eric Young cut a promo on Tye Dillinger.
  • Elias Samson comes out for a song, but is interrupted by Kassius Ohno. Ohno challenges Samson to a Loser Leaves NXT match for later on in the taping.
  • Before Eric Young vs. Tye Dillinger starts, Roderick Strong’s beaten up body gets dragged out into the arena. This leads to a brawl and no match.
  • Kassius Ohno defeated Elias Samson in the Loser Leaves NXT match. So is the Drifter off to the main roster or just done with the company?

Ruby Riot is a great name for Lovelace. She’s always had an edgy look, so the “Riot” part fits this well. Based what happened later in the taping, it seems the former Heidi Lovelace received a name for a reason.

The Dillinger vs. SAnitY feud is going to become a theme of this WWE NXT taping. He’s battled them for the past few months, and hasn’t been able to overcome the villainous stable. Can the Perfect 10 find a way to defeat Young and Co.?

Adios, Drifter? This certainly came out of nowhere, and will make everyone wonder if he’s moving to the WWE main roster. Given that these shows are taking place in March, throwing Samson’s name into the hat of potential post-WrestleMania 33 call-ups wouldn’t be crazy.
