WWE WrestleMania 33: The Usos Should Win SmackDown Tag Team Championship

After the great make over and heel turn, The Usos are back to being a team worth watching again. They should be the ones to defeat American Alpha at Wrestlemania 33.

As we have seen recently The Usos have successfully made the transition from a long-time face team to a heel team with a big attitude. They really needed a change after being the same characters for years, it was boring and stale. At times, they were cringeworthy to watch, as they said the repeated the same things. However, they finally pulled off a heel turn after the brand split and went in the right direction.

Not only did they turn heel, but they completely changed their characters and came with a different attitude. They finally feel fresh again, not only as characters but in the ring as well, their move set perfectly fits the new personas. Jimmy and Jey have become must-see superstars weekly on SmackDown and see what else they can do. The brewing feud with American Alpha has been booked extremely well, and The Usos need to be the ones to face them at Wrestlemania and become the new tag team champions.

While they have been past champions, seeing them as champions now with this new look and attitude would be highly entertaining and it does set up a lot of potential feuds after Wrestlemania. As great as American Alpha are as our champions, they do work best when they are on the chase, as we saw in NXT against The Revival. The Usos have a harsh tactic when it comes to getting what they want, as we saw at Elimination Chamber. Even though they were eliminated from the match they still beat down American Alpha and just didn’t care.

These two teams have the potential to have a memorable match at Wrestlemania, whether it be a regular match or one with a gimmick. It would be quite the shock to see American Alpha lose the titles there as well, and it would provide some interesting TV on the following episode of SmackDown. They have a good amount of time to build up the feud and the big match leading up to Wrestlemania in over month. The feud is extremely heated already, and it can get even more heated, with surprise attacks and singles matches to help build it up.

If the Usos do in fact capture the gold at Wrestlemania, they will likely continue to feud with American Alpha but after that, the options are there for any team. The thing is with the tag team division, heel vs heel works a lot better and with all the teams SmackDown have they could face anyone. There is always the option for them to help and put over any possible NXT teams that get called up, that is one thing The Usos always have done is help others.

Whatever happens, they really are the ones who should get the big win at Wrestlemania. They have worked extremely hard to change themselves and get better, it has been a breath of fresh air and a run with the gold soon would be a fantastic way to cap that off.
