1. Reigns is the Only One Who Could

If it’s not Reigns to topple Strowman, who else will it be?

Sami Zayn was probably one of the best choices to beat Strowman, but it was way too early into the big man’s run of dominance to have him be beaten. At this point, Strowman has been demolishing jobbers and midcarders since the Draft back in July. Someone has to stop him eventually, and Reigns is the most obvious pick.

No other face on the roster can really be presented as a credible threat to the big man. Not Cesaro, not Zayn, not Jericho, not Rollins. The only one currently available to beat him is Reigns.

WWE typically likes it’s monster heels to be unbeaten for roughly a year before they have them finally be conquered, Rusev being one of the best examples of this. After he lost, Rusev was able to enter feuds that expanded on and added layers to his personality. Strowman could follow the same trajectory, taking on different roles after suffering his first pinfall loss.

Or it could set Strowman up for the most dominating win in Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale history. Based on his fantastic Rumble performance, I would love to see that.
