The Rock Calls Samoa Joe Future ‘WWE World Champ’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to Instagram to give Samoa Joe quite the endorsement.

Last month, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was at the Raw taping, but didn’t make a live TV appearance. He instead showed up before and after at the Staples Center to talk to the crowd about the movie, Fighting With My Family he was producing and filming. CM Punk was even inadvertently involved too.

While the Rock was there, he apparently met up with Samoa Joe. He must have seen plenty of the two-time NXT champion before, because of this ringing endorsement given on Instagram. In it, the People’s Champ says the following:

"“I’m very happy to see him (finally) in the WWE making a global name for himself. Many wrestling and fight historians will attest to this, that at one time in 1970’s, pro wrestlers were some of the biggest and toughest men on the planet.Happy for him and his family. It’s his time. He’s earned it and one day we’ll be referring to him as WWE World Champ. Keep kickin’ ass Uso.”"

That’s an incredible message to be passed one from one of WWE’s greatest Superstars. Joe has made a name for himself through one month on the main roster, and is getting the chance to wrestle on his first WWE PPV on Sunday night. He’ll work with Sami Zayn and look to stand out as we approach WrestleMania 33.
