The SmackDown Live Tag Team Division

Highlights of the Division

The Usos have finally captured the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships in a thrilling matchup against American Alpha. It was clearly about time that they did because the division got stale when American Alpha were champions. The Usos will add some swagger to their title run.

American Alpha has not only lost in back to back weeks but most importantly their tag team titles. They are owed a rematch for their championships and could potentially cash that in at WrestleMania 33.

So Breezango was dispatched by John Cena and Nikki Bella in very quick fashion. This is clearly a spit in the face of this tag team division. They’ll need to be repackaged in the near future to hold on to any semblance as a credible tag team.

The Ascension, The Vaudevillians and Slater and Rhyno will need to position themselves for contention for the newly won champs. Most likely they’ll be facing the Usos or American Alpha in nontitle matches so they’ll need to get some wins to secure a future title shot.

The tag team division has definitely changed for the better as the new champions will get fresh contenders on their title run.

Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
