WWE WrestleMania 33: AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon Will Steal the Show

With a very stacked card for WrestleMania 33 set now, don’t be surprised when AJ Styles and Shane McMahon end up stealing the show.

Since the Brand Extension back in July, the belief by the fans is that SmackDown Live has been the superior show over Raw. A reason for the success that of the show is the ascendance of The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles.

Styles won the WWE Championship back in September and held until Royal Rumble, dropping it to John Cena. After his loss to Cena, Styles felt that he deserved a one-on-one rematch.

Instead, SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon placed Styles in a Triple Threat match, and then inside the Elimination Chamber. Unsuccessful in either match, the former NJPW star was granted one more opportunity when Randy Orton (who won the Royal Rumble Match) would not use his option to face his Wyatt Family member, and WWE Champion Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania.

After weeks of confusion, Orton and Styles faced each other for the No. 1 Contender’s match, which the former won. Frustrated on how he had to jump through hoops for multiple weeks and still not get the main event of WrestleMania, AJ took it out by attacking Shane McMahon.

Shane would then declare that he would now be facing AJ at WrestleMania. While some fans might be disappointed in the fact that AJ will now be facing Shane at the big event, the two have the makings of stealing the show.

For the last year has been having incredible matches with anyone you can think of on the main roster. He has had some classic matches with Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho and John Cena that solidified him as one of the best talents on the main roster.

Shane McMahon throughout his career has also put on some fantastic bouts with stars like The Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Kane. While McMahon usually needs a big spot to make his matches memorable, he still none the less has had some great matches.

With the two both having show-stealing abilities the could put on a classic against one another at WrestleMania. The best option WWE could do for the match though would be making it a street fight.

If WWE was to change the match to a street fight it would give McMahon a bit of a chance to pull off the upset. Shane would be allowed to use weapons and use anything he get his hands on to help conquer AJ in the match.

This could also allow the Prodigal Son to pull off one of his classic stunts and could allow him to jump off some type of structure to try in the win the match. This would give the two to be a part of an iconic moment in WrestleMania history.
