Goldberg Spears Brock Lesnar on WWE Raw to Close WrestleMania 33 Build (Video)

Goldberg took down Brock Lesnar within an instant yet again on WWE Raw. How did he do so?

While not confirmed, it’s not crazy to speculate that Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship will close WrestleMania 33. They’re the box office names that are going one-on-one, and are heavily featured in the show’s hype, more than Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.

On Monday’s episode of Raw, these two would go face-to-face for one last time before the Show of Shows. What would go down in their encounter?

Paul Heyman talked about Goldberg’s Universal Championship, which Brock Lesnar wants. He calls Lesnar the Beast and says he will chew and spit out the former WCW star. The Advocate plays up how WrestleMania 33 is sold out, and how Lesnar will take Goldberg to Suplex City.

Heyman says this is the last “Goldberg” chant you’ll hear on Raw after the fans yell his name. The champion came out moments later. He says no one came here to see them talk, so he looked to “bring WrestleMania to Philly.” Just seconds later, Goldberg took down Lesnar with a spear.

Just like that, the show was over and closed the Raw brand’s WrestleMania 33 build. The 50-year-old posed with the Universal Championship as the program faded to black.

Well, we didn’t get the tug of war debacle from the final Raw before WrestleMania 31, but this felt a bit abrupt. Goldberg walked in, said a few words, and took down Lesnar in a flash. That’s been the story of this feud and may be the case on Sunday. Will this be another two-minute match? Or could these future WWE Hall of Famers go the distance?
