Bray Wyatt vs. Luke Harper

Result: Bray Wyatt wins via pinfall

Rating: 4.25 out of 5 stars

In our main event of the evening, two former brothers in the form of Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper went at it. Seeking to gain as much momentum as possible heading into his WWE Championship match with Randy Orton, Wyatt appeared poised for destruction. As for Harper, he seemed intent on paying back his newfound rival for all of the misdeeds that have occurred as of late.

From the moment the bell rang, these two engaged in a hard-hitting encounter that will benefit both men in the long-run. Each man was given ample time to shine, and given the chemistry these two had as allies it’s of no surprise to see it there when their enemies. Towards the closing moments, Harper was on the offensive and taking it to the WWE Champion. However, for a split second Harper locked eye with the Eater of Worlds. Drawing his focus away for just a moment, it bought Wyatt all the time he needed to score the Sister Abigail for the win.

As Bray Wyatt celebrated his victory inside the ring, Randy Orton was shown on the Titantron. Back at the Wyatt Family compound, he stood above the remains of Sister Abigail. With a sharp crucifix in his hand, Orton says that he will finally rid the world of her presence. Her death would, in turn, leave Wyatt afraid and alone. SmackDown Live ends with the Viper living true to his promise as explosions come out from the crucifix.
