The RAW Tag Team Division

Highlights of the Division

The Hardy Boys notched another big win against the Shining Stars and the Club with the help of their title challengers. For both Matt and Jeff, this will be a litmus test on how well they will perform against two of the strongest and biggest competitors in the RAW tag team division. They should be favored to walk out with the gold on WWE Payback.

The Revival notched another big win against the New Day in their RAW rematch. Their Shattering Machine finisher is the modern-day version of the Dudley Boys’ 3D maneuver, it can end a match so suddenly. The way they caught Xavier Woods in their finisher out of nowhere was breathtaking to witness on TV.

Cesaro and Sheamus reigned victorious with the tag champs this past episode of RAW but will they walk out as champions at WWE Payback? I clearly don’t see that scenario coming to fruition anytime soon but knowing the WWE—anything can happen?

Gallows and Anderson lost 3 straight times in a span of two weeks. The credibility of this team is on shaky grounds at the moment and they’ll need to bounce back in order to maintain their contender status. The Club deserve way better than this and should be booked accordingly as a top-level tag team.

Heath Slater and Rhyno were traded from Smackdown Live to RAW in the Superstar Shakeup. They’ll get some quality competition in the tag team division and might have an opportunity to climb up the rankings if given the opportunity.

These are the rankings for the division this week.

  • No.1 Contender: Cesaro and Sheamus (4 Wins – 5 Losses)
