WWE’s ‘5 Superstars Who Could Be Future World Champions’ Video is a Huge Tease

WWE posted a video on “Superstars who could be future World Champions,” and it’s just one big tease for fans hoping these stars can win a top title.

WWE often posts these “Top 10” or “5…” videos that are lists similar to ones you’ll find on wrestling websites. They’ll talk about dream matches, big-time moments we want to see or even those that should enter the WWE Hall of Fame.

Well, their latest “5…” video is back. This one is “5 Superstars who could be future World Champions”. This doesn’t include the obvious big names like John Cena, Goldberg, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles. Instead, we have a fresh batch of Superstars: Baron Corbin, Cesaro, Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura.

So go ahead and drool over the 2 minutes and 49 seconds of content below. It surely will make you want to see this happen sooner than later.

It’s difficult to say which one of those five Superstars are closest to the World Championship picture, as none of them are on Raw or SmackDown Live‘s main event scene, for now. That may change in the coming weeks and months.

Corbin flirted with the WWE Championship toward the end of 2016, but came up unsuccessful in a match for the belt on SmackDown. He has since targetted the Intercontinental and United States Titles.

Cesaro has been a candidate among the fans to be in the title picture. However, WWE placed him into the Raw Tag Team Division in September 2016, and haven’t looked back on it.

Zayn has been on the outskirts of the World Championship hunt, but can’t seem to find success. He actually hasn’t held a title since February 2015 in NXT.

Joe is coming off multiple NXT Championship reigns, and his push on WWE’s main roster may warrant an eventual World Championship run. That just may not happen with Brock Lesnar in town, however.

Then, there’s Nakamura, who has star power written on his forehead. It was felt when he debuted on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 33, and will only continue as a new group of fans learn who the King of Strong Style is.

Maybe all of these Superstars will become World Champions, one day. Maybe all of these Superstars will never become World Champions. We’ll reevaluate whenever their WWE careers end.
