WWE Rumors: Dash Wilder Injured, Out Several Months

Dash Wilder just joined the WWE main roster, but will be taking a back seat for the foreseeable future.

Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson — better known as the Revival — ruled the NXT Tag Team Division for over a year. In the process, they became the first two-time champions for any title in WWE NXT, putting them into elite status. They also worked excellent matches with DIY, American Alpha, the Authors of Pain, and others. So, when the time came for their arrival to the main roster, it seemed warranted.

However, there will be something stalling the team that does No Flips Just Fists. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Wilder suffered a broken jaw during this past weekend’s NXT live events. He’s going to be out of action “for a few months,” potentially into July. This is why Dawson teamed with Bobby Roode during one of the shows.

It’s unfortunate timing for the Revival, who broke onto the WWE scene in a big way, by defeating the New Day twice. Big things seemed to immediately be in store for them afterward, but still will obviously stall things.

WWE also moved New Day to SmackDown Live, so just like that, we’re without two top tag teams on Raw. That means the Hardy Boyz, Cesaro and Sheamus, Enzo Amore and Big Cass and Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows will continue to be prominently featured. This could lead to Heath Slater and Rhyno getting a push on Monday nights, as well.

As for Dawson, this leaves an interesting scenario here. He never worked in NXT as a singles star, so if WWE chooses to trot him out solo, it would be unchartered territory. Otherwise, he may be sidelined while Wilder recovers.

Hopefully, the timetable for Wilder isn’t lengthy, and he can return to action. Maybe we get a Revival title chase for SummerSlam?
