A look at the spoiler results for three weeks of WWE NXT in May, which impacts NXT TakeOver: Chicago.

On Wednesday night, WWE NXT went back to Full Sail University for one last taping before NXT TakeOver: Chicago. This saw three episodes for May take place, which filled out the match card for the show.

Coming into the night, nothing for TakeOver had been set, so what you’re about to see below may be the complete look at what will be seen in just over one month. Who will main event the show? What about the other two title matches?

We used to be able to decipher which matches will air on what show, but WWE NXT has begun taping out of order. So, here’s the list of everything that took place from this recording (Spoilers come from Cageside Seats and Wrestling Inc):

  • Jeet Rama defeated Maxx Stardom. Rama had the Bollywood Boyz with him at ringside. Harv and Gurv Singh appeared on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live to help Jinder Mahal win the Six-Pack Challenge match to determine the new No. 1 Contender to the WWE Championship.

An interesting note, to say the least. If WWE is planning an India-centric stable, maybe Rama makes his official debut soon?

More from NXT

Itami vs. Roode is on for NXT TakeOver: Chicago’s main event. A fresh matchup and Itami’s chance at getting a title for the first time in his WWE NXT career.

  • Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford defeated Dylan Miley and HoHo Lun. After the match, Miley beat down Lun.

Miley is getting the slow-burn push here. His look as “monster heel” written all over, but when will his first feud develop?

  • Drew McIntyre defeated Sean Maluta. Wesley Blake returned to challenge McIntyre to a match for next week.

With Itami getting Roode at TakeOver, McIntyre’s role for the show remains unclear. Will he get left off?

  • Kassius Ohno defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas.
  • DIY cut a promo on wanting a rematch with the Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss interrupted to make their claim for the belts. It leads to a match, and Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Sabbatelli and Moss. William Regal then makes DIY vs. the Authors of Pain in a ladder match for the tag titles at TakeOver: Chicago.

Ladders, combined with NXT tag matches, should be a very good thing. These tag team bouts at TakeOver have been nothing short of spectacular.

  • Bobby Roode cut a promo on Hideo Itami, calling out and mocking him for not being around, due to injury. Itami interrupts and hits the GTS on Roode.
  • To determine Asuka’s NXT Women’s Championship contender, a battle royal took place. Asuka attacked Nikki Cross, Ember Moon and Ruby Riot, who were the final three remaining. Regal came back out to announce a fatal four-way for the title at TakeOver: Chicago.

An unconfirmed report from Wrestling Inc says Moon landed hard, shoulder-first into a guard rail during a suicide dive attempt. She was seen “crying” afterward. Hopefully, she’s okay, because this story has seemed like her path to the NXT Women’s Championship.

  • A potential dark match saw the Authors of Pain defeat SAnitY via disqualification.
