2. Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman

On the Raw after WrestleMania 33, we saw Braun Strowman confront Lesnar over the Universal Championship. They had a brief staredown, until Strowman backed away from a potential fight. Despite that, it teased tension and a potential match between the two, something that seems ideal for a big show.

Lesnar vs. Strowman could main event SummerSlam. This doesn’t even include it being rumored to take place at the show, but how these two have been built up.

Lesnar’s momentum goes without saying. He’s mostly been dominant since WrestleMania 30, only losing to the Undertaker at SummerSlam 2015 and Goldberg at Survivor Series 2016. Other than that, he’s had two World title runs, main evented WrestleMania 31 and has been involved in major WWE programs throughout the past three years.

This is a bigger opportunity for Strowman, who only just main evented a WWE PPV for the first time, facing and defeating Roman Reigns at Payback. It continued the monumental run the Monster Among Men has been on, and could potentially catapult him into the Universal title picture this summer.

This match seems like a decent bet for SummerSlam. The only hitch may be Reigns. How do you keep him out of the picture, especially with nothing clear-cut being set up for him?
