Matches Announced

McIntyre vs. Blake is officially set for next Wednesday’s NXT, which will be taped before TakeOver: Chicago. Aleister Black will also be on the card.

Bobby Roode Promo

Just as it looked like WWE NXT would go off the air, Roode made his way to the ring for a promo. He had been seen entering the venue to start the show.

Roode spoke about Itami knocking him out with a GTS. He said he acted like he was “minding his own business” before Itami’s attack a few weeks ago.

The Glorious One proclaimed he’ll be ready to go at TakeOver, and will defeat Itami to retain the NXT Championship. He said “an example” will be made out of the Japanese Sensation.

Roode said he forgot Itami even worked for NXT, bringing up the past injuries that sidelined the former KENTA for the past two years. If you started watching NXT after TakeOver: Unstoppable in May 2015, you might not have known he existed.

Itami came to the stage and started walking down the ramp, but William Regal and other officials stopped him. He ended up running through them and started fighting Roode in the ring. When the officials tried stopping Itami, he hit them with GTS’, as well as on the NXT Champion.
