It looks like Rusev and Lana will not be working together in the WWE anymore. For weeks, we have been seeing Lana in many video vignettes, showing off a new persona and character. That leaves Rusev alone to make an impact on the WWE. This would be the second time that the Bulgarian Brute and the Ravishing Russian have been split.

Rusev’s last stint on his own was a disaster. However, this time things could change for the Bulgarian Brute. He could easily return as a face for once. Considering Rusev has played the role of a foreign heel all through his WWE career, he could perhaps freshen up his character for once. Moreover, Rusev has been campaigning for a shot at the WWE title lately.

He has made it clear that he wants a shot at the WWE title at Money in the Bank. Moreover, according to Rusev’s latest tweets, the Bulgarian Brute would be making an appearance on SmackDown Live soon. Should he return as a face and be allowed to face Jinder Mahal at Money in the Bank, we would have a sensational title match on our hands. A match that would be worthy of the ‘new era’ title.
