Predicting WWE Money in the Bank 2017 Ladder Match Entrants

Kevin Owens
Rounding out the list is WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens. He’s in the midst of his second reign with this belt, retaining it against Styles at Backlash.
During Owens’ Talking Smack segment, he made note of the WWE Championship, so will that mean he’s headed to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match? It’s possible and would go along with how WWE has treated its mid-card belts titles before.

Putting the U.S. Championship on the backburner would leave it forgotten by everyone, even for a few weeks. This has happened often since John Cena’s reign in 2015 and Dean Ambrose’s in 2013, and was done with the Intercontinental Championship in 2016.
However, the match for the briefcase needs star power. Having Cena away from WWE and Orton involved with Mahal doesn’t help. Shinsuke Nakamura may be doing something else, too, to help give the match card some depth; he’d be better used in a singles match anyway. So this is where Owens and Styles come in to help aid as the headliners.
As for the Styles-Owens feud, with so much time before Money in the Bank, these two can take to SmackDown Live for a proper rematch. If WWE wanted to, they can even extend it to July’s Battleground PPV.
