Does the Miz’s Intercontinental Championship reunion tour start at Extreme Rules?

Dean Ambrose and the Miz have had issues since they were on Smackdown Live together and it continues now that they are on Raw.  The Miz claims that he was the reason why the Intercontinental Championship is still prestigious.  The main stipulation in this match is that if Dean Ambrose is disqualified, he will lose the Intercontinental Championship making this one interesting.

The match was off to a technical start as Ambrose was all over the Miz early in the match.  Ambrose was aggressive in the early going with several warnings from the referee.  The Miz continued to poke Ambrose to try and force a disqualification.  Ambrose was in control as Miz was on his heels.

Ambrose tries to use a chair but is caught by the referee as the Miz tries to return the favor.  All of this continued to frustrate the Intercontinental Champion.  With the referee all over Ambrose, the Miz capitalizes with a DDT on the apron.

This opening shifts control to the Miz as he tries to slow Ambrose’s pace.  The two attempt their signature moves but neither can score big.  Ambrose finds his rhythm with a high-risk elbow to the outside of the ring.

The momentum shifts back and forth late in this title match but both men continue to fight out.  The Miz exposes the turnbuckle and it almost costs Ambrose the match.

As it looks like Miz is back into the match, Ambrose locks in his version of the figure four but the challenger fights out.  The Miz asked Maryse to slap him but the referee didn’t fall for it.

The Miz throws Ambrose into the referee as he is deliberating, the Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale.
