WWE SummerSlam 2017: Match Card Predictions After Extreme Rules

Raw Women’s Championship Match
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks

At WWE Payback, Alexa Bliss took the Raw Women’s Championship from Bayley, also becoming the first WWE Superstar to hold this title and the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She’s since held the belt through May and into June, which saw her defend at Extreme Rules in a Kendo Stick-on-a-Pole match.

With Bliss having retained, she’ll likely move on to someone else; Sasha Banks and Nia Jax could be options, but the latter seems like a better bet, especially with her win at Extreme Rules.

Bliss and Banks could have a match at Great Balls of Fire, with the title somehow staying in the former’s hands. However, for SummerSlam, that could be an opportunity for WWE to stretch out this bout, finding a way to get Bayley into the mix; she’s not going to just drop out of the picture.

A Triple Threat match may even see Bliss retain again, but having these three women involved has the chance of being a fun bout. It may not win Match of the Year, but there will be an opportunity for the Goddess of WWE to showcase herself with two of the best in-ring workers in Women’s division. It would only see her stock rise.
