1. Carmella Cashes in
There’s no denying that WWE loves it’s history-making moments. Especially when it concerns women’s wrestling. What better way to create a new historical moment than to have both Money in the Bank winners cash-in on the same night? Up until this point, Carmella and Naomi haven’t had much interaction with each other, but I expect that to change leading up to SummerSlam.
Carmella historically won the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank Match with help from James Ellsworth. The win was met with an insane amount of backlash from the internet wrestling community. Instead of turning into the slide, the WWE decided to do a soft reset and have Carmella historically win again with (slightly) less help from James Ellsworth.
Since then, James Ellsworth has been suspended. I am tempted to say that without his help Carmella could fail her cash-in. After all, this is the same company that literally had a man climb the ladder during the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank match, and hand the briefcase to the eventual winner. But I don’t think even they are that tone deaf. Not only that, it’s just not particularly logical.
My hope is that they at least get Carmella’s cash-in right. With Alexa gone, Carmella is now SmackDown Live’s number one heel.
