2. Samoa Joe
Potentially lost in the chaos of the Ambulance Match was a pretty good Universal Championship match to close Great Balls of Fire. Brock Lesnar withstood a vicious onslaught by Samoa Joe, ultimately retaining the title he won at WrestleMania.
While Reigns is probably looking for a Universal Championship match of his own, the fact remains that he lost his match on Sunday. In addition, Kurt Angle probably isn’t too keen on giving a title match to a dude who literally tried to kill another superstar. Maybe that would fly in the Attitude Era, but nowadays vehicular manslaughter is a big no-no.
Samoa Joe, as well, is probably looking to try and get another shot at the Universal Title. He gave Lesnar everything he had, and came oh so close to pulling out what many would call an upset.

But let’s hypothetically say that Strowman gets the title match at SummerSlam instead. Perhaps Reigns and Joe could face each other in a number one contender’s match. There’s no telling how often Brock Lesnar will show up after SummerSlam if he’s still champion, but to determine his next challenger – even if it’s for Survivor Series – wouldn’t be the worst thing to do.
Since both Roman and Joe came up short at Great Balls of Fire, putting them against each other is a great way to get both guys going again. Even if a potential title match isn’t on the line in a clash between the two, it would be a great match for SummerSlam.
