Raw Women’s Championship Match
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Sasha Banks

Result: Sasha Banks defeats Alexa Bliss via submission to win the Raw Women’s Championship.

Rating: 2.75 out of 5 stars

For the second-straight PPV with Raw Superstars on it, Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks battle for the Raw Women’s Championship. Bayley was supposed to be in Banks’ spot until a shoulder injury changed those plans.

About halfway through the match, Bliss worked on Banks’ left shoulder. The match psychology played into the action for a few minutes, but ultimately didn’t matter.

Banks got her fourth Raw Women’s Championship reign, as she made up for her SummerSlam loss of 2016. She took out Bliss, despite being a match replacement just days earlier and gets the chance to have the longest title run of her two-year career on the main roster.

For Bliss, her second title reign was just as good as the first. It could have lasted longer, but WWE seems all-in on belt changes at SummerSlam. This was the fourth one of the evening, with the potential for up to four more to come.
