Following one of the biggest NXT shows of the year, how will WWE’s developmental show follow the shock and awe delivered on Saturday?

This week’s NXT show was recorded on Saturday at the Barclay’s Center prior to NXT Takeover Brooklyn III.  Those looking for answers about Asuka’s injury or Adam Cole’s big debut will have to wait a week.

However, this episode features a tag team match of some of U.K.’s best as current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne teams with Wolfgang as they take on Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.  Also, what is next for Lars Sullivan?  The monster of NXT has had issues with tag team partners in recent weeks, is it time for Lars Sullivan to become a solo act?

Tonight’s show had a tall task as it had to follow NXT Takeover Brooklyn III, while also missing the star power that made that show successful.  Outside of two matches, most of tonight’s NXT was recapping Saturday’s show.

That being said the U.K. talent delivered per usual in tonight’s main event.  Hard hitting action in the main event, as well as continued hype for next week, is why this week’s NXT wasn’t ground breaking, but it was necessary.
