Jason Jordan’s Trouble

The first month-plus of Jason Jordan as Kurt Angle’s son hasn’t gone perfectly. He’s not winning matches and barely getting a reaction from the crowd. His in-ring offense can be exciting, but can only get him so far with a lack of babyface charisma.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jordan lose another match on Raw. That may be the start of a slow-burn heel turn or WWE not having any faith in his current character.

Jordan’s solo run is still in its infancy, so time is needed for it to flesh out. However, WWE loses its patience fast. Is time running out for the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion?

Title Match Confirmed for No Mercy

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose walked out of SummerSlam with the Raw Tag Team Championship. They took down Cesaro and Sheamus to claim the titles, making it the first time Ambrose and Rollins successfully won a PPV match together since Payback 2014.

Cesaro and Sheamus are guaranteed a rematch, and it wouldn’t be a surprise for it to go down at No Mercy. There is still three episode of Raw to go before No Mercy, not including Monday’s show. That’s a lot of time (probably too much for the WWE), so it’s possible WWE draws things out another week.

What goes against this, is if WWE wants to keep the hype going for No Mercy, they’ll need to add a match for the PPV — maybe two. It’s better to establish the card sooner than later, which allows for ticket sales and time to build a story. The latter isn’t always done, but with the Ambrose-Rollins drama, it has been.
