WWE Raw: Can Curt Hawkins Still Succeed?

Curt Hawkins, the man who has accumulated over 100 losses in a row, could actually still have some upside in the WWE in the near future.

When WWE was rumored to be bringing back past stars for the brand split, not too many people were excited for the big return of Curt Hawkins, and honestly, his character did not even live up to the lowest of expectations.

He came back as a weird and outdated Chuck Norris “fact” guy who carried around a random pole. Naturally, a joke of a character like that began jobbing to the stars right from the get go, and he has never stopped since.

In fact, WWE even promoted the fact that Hawkins had lost over 100 matches in a row. He also made his own jab about the statistic with a tweet about past jobbers and even threw Zack Ryder into the mix.

While Hawkins may not be doing too well in his matches, he has been absolutely killing the game on twitter. Hawkins will always take hilarious jabs at his ex-partner, Ryder, Mojo Rawley, other Superstars and even himself. Here are a couple examples.

Hawkins is absolutely killing the game with his jokes on Twitter, but he still continues to be a joke on RAW. In the battle royal to determine a number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship, Hawkins was hoisted out first in hilarious fashion.

Once again, Hawkins responded with another great joke after his embarrassing performance in the match.

Even though Hawkins is supposed to be a heel, his losing streak, the way he loses, and his use of social media are all starting to turn him into kind of a lovable loser. This is pretty similar to what happened to Heath Slater last Summer.

Heath Slater was undrafted and defeated by other free agents over and over again, that the crowd could not help but root for the guy to get a job. Similarly, Hawkins has won so many times that it is hard not to root for the guy to break his losing streak.

Hawkins has charisma and a goofy personality that can get and has been getting over with fans. WWE may have caught lightning in a bottle here if they can learn how to use that losing streak to garner up some pops and support for Hawkins.

With Heath Slater, the goofball found a partner to help him finally get a job and even win a championship. That was one of the most successful stories of last Summer. Perhaps all Hawkins needs to succeed is a partner, maybe a certain Broski.

Whether Hawkins remains a jobber or gets a push, there is no question that when/if Hawkins breaks the streak, there will be a pop from the crowd. The only question is if WWE is willing to capitalize it or not.

Would you like to see Hawkins get a sort of Cinderella Story push, or would you rather have him remain as a jobber?
