WWE: Should Finn Balor Finally Form The Balor Club?

Last week’s episode of Raw gave the WWE Universe a tease of what a Balor Club may look like.

It’s been a few months since Finn Balor returned to action following a shoulder injury. In that time, he’s had several pay per view appearances – including one main event back at Extreme Rules. But in general, it seems like Balor has been almost floating aimlessly in the creative department.

For starters, he never got his rematch for the Universal Championship. And now, that rematch is likely not happening any time in the near future. Balor also had a somewhat extended feud with Elias, before moving on to Bray Wyatt. Even though Finn brought out The Demon to counter Bray’s mind games and pick up the SummerSlam victory, it looks like there’s at least one more match between the two forthcoming.

But on Raw this past week, a possible different direction for Balor came up. Finn lent a hand in eliminating Big Show from the show-opening battle royal. Who did he help? Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Much has been made of the history between the three men. Most notably, they are all alumni of The Bullet Club, arguably the most popular faction in modern wrestling. The trio of good brothers looked like they were about to Too Sweet each other, before it was broken up by Elias. Nothing more came of it.

Is it time for another edition of The Club in WWE? For a brief time last year, AJ Styles – another former Bullet Club member – partnered with Gallows and Anderson before the draft separated them. Also, for a long time, it seemed like Gallows and Anderson were almost in a holding pattern waiting for Balor to come back from his injury. All the pieces are finally in place to reunite these three as “The Balor Club” if that’s the direction WWE chooses.

With Finn (hopefully) nearing the end of his feud with Wyatt, he’ll need a new direction. Perhaps joining with his former stablemates Gallows and Anderson can propel him back into contention for the Universal Championship. It could also lend legitimacy to the much-repeated talking point about Gallows and Anderson being one of the world’s best tag teams.
