The RAW Mid Card Division

Highlights of the division

The Miz once again is the maestro when it come to blurring real life scenarios into a work of art on the microphone. His verbal beatdown on Enzo Amore was to be expected but it was fascinating to see how the Miz compared his first stint with the WWE lockeroom with the recent troubles of the No. 1 contender for the Cruiserweight Championship.

But the one line that the Miz said before Enzo arrived to the ring was quite fascinating, that the Miz will be there for Maryse when their baby arrives, unlike Kurt Angle. It seems like the WWE will still have the Miz feuding with the Raw General Manager for the foreseeable future and one man is obviously going to benefit out of it.

That man is Jason Jordan, which seems obvious after his outstanding performances against both John Cena and Roman Reigns these past few weeks. It’s clear at this point that Jason Jordan has what it takes on the wrestling side to hang with main event talent. But does he have the personality and charisma as well to match up with them? It’s clear that it’s about time that Jason Jordan gets some more time on the mic or backstage segments to flush out his character.

The perfect way to do that is to antagonize the Miz for the offhand comment he made about Kurt Angle on Miz TV. If the WWE wants the fans to care about this specific storyline regarding Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan, the Miz gave them a golden opportunity by insinuating that he’ll be a better father than the Raw General Manager.

Meanwhile, for the rest of the division…

More from Raw

Elias scored another victory over Kalisto and he still stands on the top of the mid card division. The Drifter is shown on Raw to be a big deal on the broadcast with his musical performances but they could be more of a spectacle if it’s aimed at a worthy opponent. At the moment, nobody in the division is presented as such.

Big Show was destroyed by Braun Strowman the other week in a steel cage match. Kalisto has been beaten many times by Elias on both Raw and WWE Main Event. Big Cass is out with a knee surgery and won’t be coming back till next year. The only person that Elias hasn’t faced is Apollo Crews and there is a perfect opportunity to make this an entertaining rivalry. The battle of Titus Worldwide and Elias would be a wonderful addition to Raw.
