WWE: Bold Predictions for the Week of October 2-8

What does WWE have in store for fans this week? We take a look at some things that may take place over the next seven days.

One of my favorite pastimes as a WWE fan is to try and guess what’s going to happen in the future. I don’t go out of my way to spoil myself. But trying to get into the heads of the creative department is a good way to kill some time.

The Raw brand is still dealing with the aftermath of No Mercy. The big story is obviously the fledgling feud between Roman Reigns and The Miz. The A-Lister seems intent on ruining the good vibes Reigns is feeling after his victory over John Cena. Factor in Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, and the Big Dog has a huge fight ahead of him.

But will it lead to a Shield reunion? Not this week, would be my prediction. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that Reigns will challenge The Miztourage to a match – and team up with two guys not named Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Probably Jason Jordan and Matt Hardy – you know, just to mess with the fans for a bit longer.

Speaking of the tag champs, Seth Rollins is taking on Braun Strowman on Raw this week. After his partner Dean Ambrose put up a valiant effort against The Monster Among Men, Rollins wants to do the same – and win. Problem is, Strowman is madder than usual after failing to win the Universal Championship. I could see Rollins hanging with Braun much like Ambrose did, but still falling short. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Seth crashed and burned.

More from WWE

Between Raw and 205 Live, we’re certain to get more of the Enzo Amore Era. The new Cruiserweight Champ seems to have raised the ire of, well, the entire roster. With Da Realest Guy laying out Neville last Tuesday, something’s gotta give. I have a sneaking suspicion that Enzo will get a more convincing victory over the King of Cruiserweights in the near future – possibly as early as tonight.

Over on SmackDown Live, we’re in the home stretch on the road to Hell in a Cell. It’s been a long haul since SummerSlam to get there, but now we’ve got some big matches lined up. The big one is Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon. There’s rumors that KO may be headed to Raw, with this match being the catalyst for the move. I think on SmackDown this week, we’ll get confirmation of such a stipulation – “loser leaves town,” perhaps.

And the Women’s Title on SmackDown Live will likely get some play this week. Charlotte and Natalya are ready to throw down at Hell in a Cell. But Carmella lurking in the wings could throw a big monkey wrench into the plans of both superstars. Will the Staten Island Princess be the main focus this week? I think Charlotte and Nattie will actually be the main attractions heading into the pay per view this weekend.
