WWE TLC 2017: Plans for Bray Wyatt’s ‘Sister Abigail’ Revealed

During this weeks edition of Monday Night Raw, Bray Wyatt made mention of the allusive ‘Sister Abigail’ character, who has never been revealed on WWE TV. So, are the WWE finally debuting this sinister character for WWE TLC 2017?

In a hope to draw fans back into Bray Wyatt’s feud with Finn Balor, moreover, draw fans back into Bray Wyatt all together, it seems as if the WWE are looking to finally bring in ‘Sister Abigail’.

Since Wyatt’s debut on the main roster, he has been mentioning a creature-like relative; one which has a dark past with Wyatt himself. The mentions of her name haven’t been all that often, however, fans have always speculated on the company brining someone in to play ‘Sister Abigail’.

And now, it seems like we’ll learn the identity of ‘Sister Abigail’. Except it probably won’t be a different wrestler.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin, the WWE aren’t planning to have a female wrestler play the part of Bray’s ‘sister’. However, it will be Wyatt playing the female character in a completely different outfit.

"Sources with direct knowledge tell us the current plan is for Wyatt to wrestle at TLC using the name “Sister Abigail” — similar to how Finn Balor becomes The Demon — and he’d wear a different outfit. From what we’re being told, WWE is NOT planning to introduce a female character with the name."

During his segment with Balor, you could start to see the transformation take place. Wyatt turned into a scarecrow-like character. Furthermore, a female voice was speaking whilst Wyatt was laughing during his promo.

To hear the news is pretty disappointing. Personally, I was exited to hear that the WWE were actually going to utilise the ‘Sister Abigail’ character, however, now I know they’re using it just as a new gimmick for Wyatt, it seems almost lacklustre.

It also raises the question of if ‘Sister Abigail’ will be used as a one-off type deal, or like Balor, the second gimmicky character will be used on special occasions like the Demon gimmick.

Hopefully, we’ll find out more as Bray Wyatt starts to morph into the character.
