4. The level of comedy on SmackDown Live

WWE’s attempts at comedy are often a case of hit or miss, which usually miss and backfire for the most time. However, the same cannot be said about what creative has been doing on SmackDown Live. There are no over-the-top acting or silly pranks. There are no cheesy one liners or catch phrases being thrown around. However, there never is a lack of comedy on Tuesday nights.

It all started with Breezango and the Fashion Files. The comedy skits involving them have really helped the duo to get over. In fact, it helped them so much that creative has realized the potential of comedy in getting talents over. The Ascension failed miserably to make a name for themselves as a monster heel tag team. There are many reasons to point out as far as their failure goes. But it seems like Konnor and Victor are getting a second shot at redemption by way of the Fashion Files. The duo have become an important part of the segments now.

Another example would be Aiden English. His skits alongside Rusev were simply funny. There is nothing more and certainly nothing less. The comedy segments aren’t necessarily doing wonders for either man’s career. However, at the very least, they allow these men to grab the fan’s attention every now and then. The Blue Brand has figured out a way to make comedy work and to have the fans invested in it. That is always a win for all the parties involved.
