Highlights of the division

Alexa Bliss retained her championship at TLC and now will be facing Natalya in a champion versus champion match at Survivor Series. Bliss has had a roller coaster stint on Raw but she’ll need to get back on the right track with a must win over the Smackdown Women’s Champion. The reason why it’s a must win for Alexa Bliss is because she’s been treated as a paper champion for months now. She retains her gold at pay per views but loses on Raw constantly. If anybody wants to take this match-up at Survivor Series seriously, Alexa Bliss will need to be booked properly moving forward.

Alicia Fox losing to Sasha Banks at the TLC pre show and then winning a triple threat match on Raw to captain the Women’s Survivor Series match is honestly baffling. She hasn’t warranted the honour of leading anything when it comes to the red brand. What on earth is the WWE thinking having someone they have barely pushed all year and was used in a love triangle on 205 Live this year to be a captain in huge match? Bayley or Sasha Banks deserved to be leading the Raw team but clearly the WWE has lost their marbles once again.

Meanwhile, for the rest of the division…

Asuka beating Emma twice was clearly a given but how she’ll be treated on Raw moving forward will be intriguing to say the least. She’ll need to be pushed very slowly to the top and to allow the Raw fans to organically cheer her on in her journey. It’s clear that majority of these fans don’t watch NXT but are familiar with their top stars. The key for Asuka will be to display her talents on the biggest stage possible, Survivor Series. Having her be apart of the Raw Women’s team and run rampage over the Smackdown team will be so magical. She’ll need to be the one who gets the Raw brand their first victory of the two elimination matches.
