WWE Raw Winners and Losers: Drew Gulak is the Voice of a Generation

Loser: Kurt Angle
Oh, poor Kurt. You’re quite possibly the greatest General Manager in the history of WWE. He’s made a series of amazing decisions, and that streak keeps getting longer and longer. In addition, he’s made some great signings and trades to acquire new talent. Names like Asuka, Jason Jordan, Dean Ambrose, and The Miz have all joined Raw since Angle’s tenure as GM began.

But for all of Angle’s great moves, this week on Raw was possibly the worst moment in his tenure. It all came about because Angle started to buy his own hype, and was too busy patting himself on the back after his in-ring performance at TLC.
So what happened? Backstage, Shane McMahon popped in for a visit ahead of Survivor Series. Do you see those red flags waving, hear those alarms going off? Well, Kurt didn’t. In fact, Angle took the opportunity to not just talk up his own roster, but put down what Shane has accomplished on Tuesdays.
Heck, Shane even tried to warn Angle about what was happening later on! But Kurt was too blind to see it. And that opened the door for the SmackDown roster to launch a sneak attack on their Survivor Series opposition. Worst of all, when that happened, Angle turned and ran away from the fight. Oof. There’s really no turning back from that.
