WWE: Fantasy Booking Kevin Owens Into WrestleMania 34
Kevin Owens has been the hottest heel in the WWE over the past few months since debuting on SmackDown during the superstar shakeup in April.
KO did great work in the United States Championship picture, but his recent feud with Shane McMahon has turned the WWE upside down. It has developed into the most personal rivalry in the WWE and it’s hard to tell what the company has up its sleeve for the feud in the future.
The feud has taken a major shift since the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view which saw the heel turn of Sami Zayn to help aid Owens to victory over Shane O’Mac. The former friends turned enemies are back together and the Owens/Zayn duo has shaken up Tuesday nights already.
Owens’ and Zayn’s plans for Survivor Series are still in question, but after that event which pits Raw superstars against SmackDown superstars, the possibilities are endless for the duo against Shane O’Mac. The WWE seems to be all in with Owens as a top heel in the company, which leads fans to speculate what KO will be doing at WrestleMania 34 in a few months.
It’s never too early to begin building a WrestleMania feud and a superstar the caliber of Owens deserves a marquee match at the granddaddy of them all. It seems unlikely we’ll see another Owens vs. Shane match at WrestleMania, but the feud could lead to several possibilities leading into the event.
Fans love to fantasize about how their particular booking of a certain superstar would be, and there are many possibilities for KO. This is all speculation and fantasizing, but the WWE could really hit a grand slam with Owens leading up to WrestleMania 34.

The next piece of the puzzle in the Owens vs. Shane O’Mac feud could be KO and Zayn costing Team SmackDown at Survivor Series in some form or fashion. This would lead to even more tension between Shane and Owens, which could, in turn, lead to another match of some form or fashion between KO and Shane O’Mac, but with much higher stakes this time.
Owens and Shane could square off one last time with the stipulation being if Shane loses, he must resign as commissioner of SmackDown and if Owens loses, he will be fired from the WWE. The match could take place at any episode of SmackDown or a pay-per-view at the end of the year or even into the beginning of 2018.
KO would once again get the upper hand against Shane O’Mac and get the victory, clean or not clean. With Shane out of the way, Owens would decide to move on to bigger and better things, namely the WWE Championship.
By this time, Jinder Mahal’s title reign will have come to an end at the hands of likely AJ Styles. KO would have a WWE Championship match against The Phenomenal One with Owens getting the win and becoming WWE Champion.
And in the rematch for the title, things would get very interesting. Whether the rematch comes at the Royal Rumble or another pay-per-view leading into WrestleMania 34, Owens would lose his championship thanks to the returning Triple H costing KO the title. It would be the ultimate full circle story considering how The Game helped Owens win the Universal Championship back in 2016.
Triple H could operate as a babyface authority figure on SmackDown and even rehire Shane O’Mac as commissioner eventually, but go into further detail as to why he cost KO the WWE Championship. The Game’s reasoning would be defending his family which Owens attacked verbally and physically for months.
This would fittingly lead to a match at WrestleMania 34 between Owens and Triple H. The result of that match could go either way depending on the circumstances, but a KO vs. The Game matchup at the grandest stage of them all would be an anticipated battle many months in the making.
And with Triple H working at a SmackDown house show in Chile recently, maybe that’s what the WWE is building towards. The Game hasn’t missed a WrestleMania since WrestleMania 23 when he was injured, and a potential feud and buildup of this magnitude would be great for both Triple H and KO.
Many fans have speculated about the potential for a Triple H vs. Kurt Angle match at WrestleMania 34 and that could work if done the right way, but there would be more of a benefit having The Game battle Owens instead. KO going over against Triple H would even further solidify himself as a top guy in the WWE and Angle doesn’t need to square off with The Game. There wouldn’t be much to gain for either individual in that scenario.
But as for Triple H vs. KO, Owens could gain a lot by defeating the 14-time world champion and one of the greatest WWE superstars of all-time. Having Owens in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 34 would be deserving as well, but a long-running storyline is more of a WrestleMania-caliber buildup than just two individuals battling for a championship.
