WWE SmackDown Live Winners and Losers: Dissension Between Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan
By Bryan Heaton
Winner: Becky Lynch
Coming at the Women’s Division with straight fire, Becky Lynch earned a spot as the captain of the Survivor Series women’s team. She won a fatal five way by making Miss Money in the Bank, Carmella, tap out to the Dis-Arm-Her. It was a great showing for the Irish Lass Kicker, who’s been almost relegated to background duty of late.
But the entire division made this match a good one. Tamina displayed amazing power – we’ll just ignore the weird way she slammed Carmella into the apron, though. Naomi flew around the ring like few other female superstars can. Carmella showed her ring smarts by trying to isolate herself with only one of her opponents. And Charlotte Flair really is a freak of nature – her combination of strength and agility was on full display in this one.
However, there could only be one winner, and only one captain for Survivor Series. And that was Becky Lynch. Following the match, Becky gave a sneak peek at her strategy as team captain, and, well, it’s a pretty simple plan:
The dig at her Raw counterpart Alicia Fox didn’t go unnoticed. With a month to go before Survivor Series, I’m seriously looking forward to how this match in particular gets built up.
