WWE Rumors: Finn Balor to Avenge His Loss to Kane?

According to new report, The Irishman will avenge his loss to Kane soon on WWE TV.

In what was a very confusing booking decision, a newly returned Kane – who is over fifty years old – defeated former Universal Champion Finn Balor on Raw a couple of weeks ago. The decision of Kane going over even baffled WWE personnel backstage.

And I can see why. Before The Big Red Machine’s win, Balor was slated as the next potential challenger for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title. However, following his loss, it was then reported that Balor was no longer going to involved in a feud with The Beast (which is definitely a good thing).

The main reason I got mad at the booking decision was because I assumed, just like everyone else, that Balor would be meeting Lesnar down the road just before ‘Mania. Conversely, as the match isn’t happing, it’s not all that bad, but, the fact that Balor isn’t being protected against a man at the end of his career is worrying.

However, now it seems like WWE have finally figured out their mistake, and are looking to give Balor his win back. The report comes from CageSide Seats’ Rumor Roundup , who write that Balor will get his win back, following Strowman’s match against Kane — which hasn’t been announced for Survivor Series, because [insert spoiler]. The report continues by saying that The Shield will also give a beating to Kane, before he leaves WWE.

Firstly, I think it’s great WWE are happy to admit wrong in the poor booking, moreover, that they’re actually planning to avenge the loss for the former NXT Champion. Hopefully, Balor won’t be in his Demon get-up, and he’s wrestling Kane (and winning) without the smoke and mirrors.

One of my main concerns before Balor was on the main roster was that, at some point, he wouldn’t be able to win without being the Demon. And at this point, my concern seems to be coming true. They need to make sure Balor — the actual Balor character — has credibility. Otherwise, when he wrestles as normal, the finish is inevitable.

So as long as the win is Balor Club Balor (man, that’s a lot of Balor’s), then it’s all good.
