3. Finn Balor returns to winning ways

This week on Raw, Finn Balor took on Cesaro. This match would be every indie fan’s dream. Though it wasn’t as fast paced as one would have hoped for, it was still pretty neat, considering this was on live TV and not on PPV. After an entertaining back and forth, Balor managed to overcome the odds and Shaemus’s distraction and pick up a win. This came a week after he was literally fed to Kane.

Balor still got attacked by Kane on the entrance ramp but that’s another story. The story of the week however, is Balor getting back to winning ways. He might also be well on his way to making it to the Men’s Survivor Series team alongside Braun Strowman. Amidst rumors of Balor’s match against Brock Lesnar being cancelled, him jobbing out to Kane came as a really worrying bit of drama.

WWE is clearly mis-managing a top-level talent in Balor. One could only wish what could have been had he never injured his shoulder the night he won the Universal title. Regardless, Balor is still hanging in there and is one big match away from breaking into the main event scene yet again. However, this week, we have more rumors on the way. Balor might be getting a measure of revenge against Kane. If that be the case, then I would predict for that match to happen next week and it will be a qualifying match for the Survivor Series team.

For now though, Balor is back to winning matches on Raw. Hopefully, creative and management decides to go through with the idea of him facing Lesnar. Until then, let’s just hope Balor keeps winning matches.
