WWE Survivor Series 2017: Nikki Bella Should Be Team SmackDown’s 5th Member

Nikki Bella hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania, but she should make her return to the ring as the last member of Team SmackDown’s WWE Survivor Series 2017 team.

On the last episode of SmackDown Live, Charlotte defeated Natalya for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in what was a heartwarming homecoming for Charlotte her father, The Nature Boy, Ric Flair.

Now, Charlotte was originally scheduled to be apart of Team SmackDown at WWE Survivor Series 2017, but now that she is representing team blue as the champion, that leaves one spot open in the women’s Survivor Series team.

Some have speculated that Natalya, the former champion, will just get swapped into that role, while others think a returning Paige may storm into Survivor Series to claim that last spot. However, I think Nikki Bella being the last member of Team SmackDown is “best for business”.

A one off appearance by Nikki Bella for Survivor Series should not surprise anyone at this point, as plenty of part timers like John Cena, Shane McMahon, Kurt Angle, and Triple H are already taking part in traditional Survivor Series matches.

More from WWE

So, Nikki Bella will just be another mainstream Superstar that they can plug into the card to give it that “Big Four” PPV feel. She is the most successful women’s wrestler outside of the ring and should be a substantial draw and could make headlines for WWE across various media platforms after Survivor Series.

Also, there have been reports that Total Divas ratings have been tanking as of late. Well, Nikki Bella is a crucial star of Total Divas and is even a producer, so her comeback to the ring would be a smart way to promote and drive interest for Total Divas.

I mean, if Nikki Bella and John Cena are going to be backstage and wrestling at the same PPV, there is no way WWE doesn’t try to capitalize on the power couple’s appearance to promote Total Divas and draw more mainstream headlines.

Lastly, let’s not forget about what happened at last year’s Survivor Series. Nikki Bella was named captain of Team SmackDown, but she ended up getting attacked by Natalya and couldn’t compete. Then, Natalya took her spot on the team.

While I know continuity isn’t WWE’s strong suit when it comes to storylines, but it would be a longterm payoff and sweet justice for Nikki Bella to come back and take the last spot from Natalya as Nikki is finally able to represent the blue brand at Survivor Series.

Nikki has been very public on all forms of social media and in interviews that she would definitely want to return the ring, and now that her Dancing With The Stars run has come to a close after she got voted out, Nikki is Fearless and ready to make a splash at Survivor Series.
