2. Rusev and Aiden English Get Well-Deserved Opportunity at Clash of Champions

One of the most entertaining segments on WWE TV as of late has been the duo of Rusev and Aiden English.  This duo came out of nowhere to become one of the most unexpectedly over segments on SmackDown each and every week.

Their momentum has built over the weeks with Rusev Day signs all throughout the crowds every Tuesday night, but last night saw them get a big break.  In a tag team match with The New Day, Rusev and English proved they are a team to be taken seriously moving forward.

They picked up the win over The New Day and looked impressive in doing so.  So much so, that Rusev and English were inserted into the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match at Clash of Champions.  The match, now under Fatal 4-Way rules, has The Usos defending their titles against Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, The New Day, and Rusev and English.

Nobody probably imagined Rusev and English as a team would work, but it has worked very well so far.  They are consistently entertaining and refreshing to see every Tuesday night.  And maybe, the duo could have a tag team championship reign lined up sometime in the future.

It’s always Rusev Day, but will that be enough for Rusev and English to win gold at Clash of Champions?  We’ll soon find out.
