5. Mojo Rawley Squashes Zack Ryder

For whatever reason the WWE brass seems to love Mojo Rawley. From putting him over at Wrestlemania 33 in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal, to making him look like the clear dominant partner in his tag team with Zack Ryder, to giving him way more television time than a guy with his skill set, or lack there of deserves, the creative team seems to have a thing for the 31 year-old Virginian. So if they’re insistent on making him a monster, now that he’s a heel, might as well let him bury his former partner Ryder Sunday night.

Let’s be honest, The Hype Bros never had a prayer of getting over. After having a surprisingly exciting run in 2011 that saw him capture the United States title, Ryder, due in large part to his attachment to John Cena and the hatred he attracts, fell back to lower card status. And outside of an Intercontinental title winning performance in a ladder match at WrestleMania 32, “The Ultimate Broski” hasn’t done much. And Rawley? As much as the company doesn’t wasn’t to admit it, not too many fans seem interested in his act. So why not blow up this team in the most violent way possible and then move on?

When Rawley attacked Ryder on the Nov. 28th SmackDown, it signaled the end of their partnership. Sunday night should signal the official end of Rawley being Mr. Nice Guy. A vicious beating and clean pin will end a tag team that was doomed from the start, and possibly turn Mojo into the type of superstar he needs to become if he’s going to do more than just talk a big game.
