No. 1: AJ Styles

Yes, this is a feud against a singular superstar, but there’s history here.

In fact, it might be more of a Balor vs. Styles feud. These two put on an incredible match at Extreme Rules, after Bray Wyatt couldn’t battle Balor. The crowd ate it up and loved every second of it. They even planted the seeds of something more with the TOO SWEET moment.

In 2016, it was Styles who reunited with his former Bullet Club brothers Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. They engaged in a solid feud with John Cena, but the brand split broke up The Club.

Now with Balor Club, they could look to enter the whole “group convinces former member to reunite while the other refuses” type of feud. I mean, if he doesn’t reunite with them, would that make Styles a nerd?!

The WWE would need to take a page out of the Shield reunion and make this a slow reunion. The Balor Club could stay persistent in their pursuits and plant seeds week-by-week. As a result, they could integrate Styles with the team to emulate the dominance of popular teams such as D-Generation X, the Four Horsemen and Evolution.

The brand split makes this difficult. Not to mention, AJ Styles is locked in with the World Heavyweight championship on SmackDown. A feud here though to ignite a heel turn, which could add a dynamic to Finn Balor’s character. On the other hand, it could lead to a glorious reunion.
