5. No Way Jose

Where has No Way Jose been for the past couple of months? A once popular and prominent feature on NXT is now hardly ever used on NXT’s shows and TakeOver events.

It was speculated that No Way Jose would finally make his main roster debut as a part of the WWE Draft back in 2016. When Jose never got the call, many assumed it was only a matter of time until he made the jump to the red or blue brand.

So, the night after WrestleMania was once again a date rumored as No Way Jose’s debut on the main roster. Then, that rumor resurfaced once again once the Superstar Shakeup was announced. Did he get the call up for either of those events? No Way Jose.

Well, here we are again bringing up the fiesta of a man in the conversation of NXT debuts on the main roster. With Jose taking time off of tapings an TakeOvers, one can assume it is due to one of two things.

  1. NXT has given up on him as a wrestler or a character and are having him take time off to repackage him or even release him. Or,
  2. He is getting prepped for his main roster debut.

Let’s hope, for the sake of No Way Jose, that it is the latter. So, could we see Jose and his conga line dance their way into the Royal Rumble? I definitely wouldn’t count it out.
