WWE: 5 Possible Dream Opponents for Ronda Rousey

This one is more of an exciting idea for myself than anything. If you have followed either Ronda or Baszler at all then you know of their history. They’re longtime friends and training partners as members of the MMA 4-Horsewomen. Baszler began her wrestling career a short while ago and has wasted little to no time getting very good at it.

Baszler made her debut for the WWE during the Mae Young Classic and sitting front row was her friend Ronda Rousey. This is a dream match for me because it is an incredibly easy story to tell and could be a barn burner of a match. The creative team wouldn’t have to put any effort in at all, it’s a simple long time friends turned rivals, a la HBK-Triple H.

So they could have Baszler getting annoyed that she has put in more time and effort yet Ronda is getting the limelight. Add in some frustration and a pinch of physicality and you’ll have a hell of a story. It doesn’t need to have any of the caddy behavior that is often sprinkled into the Women’s Division. Honestly, they could just tell a story similar to Gargano/Ciampa and it would fit perfectly.

With Ronda Rousey set to make her debut soon after she concludes filming of a movie, fans are awaiting her first opponent. With rumors of a tag match against Triple H and Stephanie and a one-on-one for the title against Charlotte, the options are there. It won’t take too long to see how the WWE view and what their plans are for Ronda. With the Road to WrestleMania in full swing, Ronda Rousey appears to have her GPS set for New Orleans.
